Import of xlsx File Failed

I am trying to import an .xlsx file and the size is 45,219 KB.  It is failing and I am not sure why.  Has anyone had success in importing a file this size and if so, what can I do to get this to work?  Thanks!

    Hi Kellie,

    Thank you for your question. Our import feature will fail on files larger than 16MB or 1 million cells. To bring large Excel files into Workiva, we recommend breaking up the import. After you import the first batch of sheets, you should use the import option in the Workiva file to bring the remaining .xlsx sheets into the same spreadsheet. You'll want to make sure choose the "Add Excel sheets to this Spreadsheet" option. 

    Another helpful tip here is to check your file for any formatting on blank cells, as that will count to your file size and cell limit. Even if it doesn't reduce your file size enough, removing the formatting or deleting these cells will help your import run more smoothly.
