Dynamically Using Column Headers in Unpivot Command
BeantwoordI am currently using the unpivot tool to change header values into a new column. I had to manually input the column headers for the tool to work. I tried using an extract value tool to get the header names and tried to use that as a variable in the unpivot command, but it does not recognize the string as multiple headers, but rather as 1 header. Is there a way to have the unpivot command dynamically take the headers needed instead of hard-coding it?

I haven't actually tried this yet but you could try passing a Variable that is a comma delimited list and then use the Split Variable Transformation.
0One more thing, we're working on migrating some of the documentation from the OneCloud knowledge base to the Workiva knowledge base. This will take us a little time but this article can be valuable to understand how to use the unpivot and pivot Commands of the Tabular Transformation Connector.
If you have a screenshot of the header row and can indicate which columns you want to unpivot, I can do some testing internally.
0Thanks Tony, I wasn't aware that Split Variable was even there. I tried it out and it worked. Thanks again!
