Trying to add a new task to an active process, however, receive the message "Couldn't add action. Correct highlighted fields and try again" All fields are populated and no highlighted field is present to correct or update

    Hi Sean Dailey, 

    Happy to do some troubleshooting here! The error message "Couldn't add action. Correct highlighted fields and try again." can occur due to several reasons, even if no fields are visibly highlighted. Here are some steps to try and resolve the issue:
     
    1. Browser Refresh and Cache Clearing: Sometimes, the issue can be resolved by refreshing the browser or clearing the browser cache. This ensures that the latest code is being used and eliminates any temporary glitches
     
    2. Field Validation: Double-check all fields, even if they appear populated. Ensure that:
      - The title of the task is unique and does not exceed the character limit (500 for the title and 2000 for instructions) 
      - All required fields, such as "Assigned to," are correctly filled out 
     
    3. Process Configuration: If the process is set to run sequentially, ensure that the previous tasks or actions are completed. Incomplete actions in a sequential process can block the addition of new tasks
     
    4. Task Duplication: If the issue persists, try duplicating an existing task and editing it to match the new task's requirements. This can sometimes bypass the issue

    I have the same issue as well right now.  I tried to both edit a current task within an active Process or create a new task within the active Process, and I got the same error message - "Couldn't add action.  Correct highlighted fields and try again" and also "Couldn't save action. Try again". I tried the 4 steps from Isabel, but it didn't resolve the issue. 

    I tested by creating a brand new Process and was able to create new tasks and edit active tasks while the Process was active.  So the issue looks to be with already existing Processes, being unable to edit tasks or create new tasks.

    You are both absolutely correct - the suggestions likely will not work, apologies there.

    After bringing this issue to our engineering team, it appears we have a glitch affecting multiple users, such as yourselves. Rest assured, our engineering team is looking into it and a fix should be released shortly. Once a fix for this issue is released, we’ll update you so you can validate its success.

    Thank you Isabel, I can confirm I am now able to successfully edit/create/duplicate tasks within a Process that is active.  Thanks for your help!
