Footnote formatting - tab spacing / alignment
BeantwoordI'm having trouble with the formatting of footnotes. Some seem to have the tab spacing and alignment locked so I cant adjust. This means lots of work adjusting to find consistency and its not a style i want.

Hi Gareth Hume, sounds like this might be a style guide issue if tab and alignment functions are locked. Are you able to change the footnote style, or add a new style to how you want it from the style guide menu?
0Hi Madison - yes it is linked to the style guide. When I set the format to one of our style guide options it locks the tab spacing - but it doesn't apply the spacing constantly. I have tried multiple ways of changing between styles / removing styles and I cant get the same outcome. The style guide options only allow you to set two options for indentation; first line and left. I tried unlocking these and that does give more control but Ideally I want them to be locked and applied consistently.
0Hi Gareth Hume just to clarify, you are editing an existing style from your style guide but the spacing does not apply the way you would like because of the two indentation options? If that is the case, I would suggest creating a new style guide and moving the indents around to your liking and then applying that style to the footnotes for the best control.
