Manual entry of numbers in a table
I am creating a stepwise text table in situ, with one step for each row. Each step is numbered: e.g., 1. <text> The problem is that I can't type a closing period after the number -- it keeps disappearing. Any ideas?

Hi Paul!
If I follow you correctly, you are putting in steps, like 1. Step here, into a table cell and the period next to the one goes away after typing it in? If so, this happens because it recognizes one (1) as a numeric value and ignores the period. To get the period to render, change the cell type to Text and retype 1. That should then show up as you expect.
