How do I connect comments from only select reviews when sending a blackline for review in Next Gen?

    Hi Brian!

Thanks for the question. Its a good one, for sure.

I did some quick checking to confirm, and so far I can tell you cannot specify which comments to include in the review. The only toggle is to "Include all comment threads..." and would be be existing Document comments and ones past reviews.

A few options might be to either a) only send specific sections of the blackline for review (ones that do or do not have the comments in them) or b) have the reviewers filter their comments from the review itself.

Does that make sense? Let me know what questions you have on the above, or if you need anything else. Thanks again for your contributions and have a great day!

Thanks for the response Mike and yes that does make sense. However, see this as a major flaw right now in the next gen platform. We facilitate the external review of our SEC documents with our auditors through wDesk and the ability to not roll forward just there comments really makes our process inefficient. Now we have to send a blackline with no comments, save PDF with comments, generate a comment report in PDF with just audit comments and then send that PDF via a separate email.

Is this functionality something that can be added to function as classic did?

    Thanks

    Brian

Good news Brian Spielmann, upon checking I can confirm that this is something our Product Team is working on currently and plan to have released by end of this year. I've connected your request with our internal ticket, which you can follow along on here. I'll update this post too going forward, and when this is released we'll for sure publish to What's New too. In the meantime, thanks much for your feedback and holler if you need anything else. Cheers!

Maybe this is unofficial, but I was hearing before year end, but likely not before we file Q3. This is also a significant part of our external auditor process.
