Save As vs Export
BeantwoordIn a document form, what is the Save As feature used for? The only two options with the save as feature are "New Document" or "Template". Can you just provide more background on those features please.
In contrast, what does the export feature do that the save as doesn't?

Howdy fellow Mike!
Happy to wax poetic on these two menu items for you.
Save As allows to save the Document either as New Document, which is essentially making a copy of it. When selected, this feature will run and then the new version of the file open next to it. I should note this is NOT the same function as Copy from Home. That requires you to be a Workspace Owner, whereas this function only needs you to be an Owner of the file. The copy it makes does not contain any links either.
Conversely, the Template option in this menu allows you to save the document you are in as a template for reuse later. That way the next time you wish to make a new document from scratch, you can choose to create from a template you've saved already.
On the flip side, Export is how you save your file down into a translated version, whether it be PDF, DOCX, EDGAR, ICML, PPTX, CSV, XLSX, or a Wdesk download of the file.
Does this make sense? Let me know if you need any clarification on the above and I'll be happy to elaborate further. Thanks again for your contributions and have a great rest of your day!
