Is there a way to add totals to stacked bar charts in Next Gen Presentations?
VoltooidWe have transitioned our presentations to Next Gen and noticed that it doesn't seem like we can add totals to stacked bar charts. Is this a feature that is going to be added or can I put a ticket in to request it?

Hi Nicole!
Wanted to let you know that a recent release to Workiva has now made total labels available in next gen Charts. Thanks for your patience and input, they were both greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, let me know. Take care and have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hello Nicole!
Currently in next gen Charts, total labels are not yet there. However they are actively being worked on by our Product Team and I've shared your request with them, which you can follow along here: https://support.workiva.com/hc/en-us/requests
In the meantime, I also have a workaround to share to get you through in the meantime. Here's the steps outlined by our team.Workaround Summary: Add a line series which is a SUM of all the values in the stack, then hide the line/marker/legend item.
Steps:- Add a new series to your chart; Call it "Total Labels"
- For each cell in the "Total Labels" series, use a SUM formula and sum up all the cells needed to create a total.
- Make the "Total Label" series a "Line" plot type
- Make sure "Total Label" series has "show labels" enabled; these are your work-around total labels
- Hide the Line and markers for the "Total Labels" series
- Hide the legend item for "Total Labels" in the legend. (Do this by unchecking "show in legend" for the "Total Labels" series in the Series Section.
NOTE: This only works if none of the stacked column/bar series have a mixture of positive and negative values; values need to be all positive or negative (for negative values, position the total labels at 'bottom' so they show below the stacked columns).

Let me know what questions you have, or if you need anything else. Thanks so much for your feedback. Have a super day in the meantime. Cheers!0U moet u aanmelden om een opmerking te plaatsen.
