    Hi Matthew Simmons!

Thanks for the question. I want to make sure I follow you correctly. Do you mean a Page Break, such as this?

Or is it something else? Let me know if I've missed the mark or you have any questions for me. Thanks and chat with you soon. Best!

Ah, thanks for clarifying. That makes more sense now that I see it.

A Margin Page Break occurs when adjacent sections have differing margin sizes. When it sees this, it auto inserts a break. This info can be found here on our Help site: https://success.workiva.com/help/docs/editing-docs/page-breaks.

In the image provided above, it seems likely the section before has a slightly different margin setup. The page break would become removed if the two sections had the same margins.

Let me know if you have any questions there, or if you need anything else. Cheers!

I am having the same problem with the Margin Page Break. The page prior to FN 1 does not have a large margin for the top and the HEADER is typed on the page. The second page the HEADER is in the top part of Margin so the two margin sizes are different. If I make the margin sizes the same, there is a large space on the first page before the header. How can I fix this?

    Hello again Kristy Wong,

The likely culprit here is inconsistent margin sizes between sections. Since your adjacent section has a differing top margin size, there will be forced page break. If you want them to flow together, then they need to having matching margins. In the image provided, is that with the differing margin size or the same margin size?

Quick follow-up here Kristy Wong. Saw you got some assistance from Donnell on our Support Team. Wanted to provide some further findings for other readers of this post.

If your section margins are equivalent, in order to remove any unwanted space you would need to make the header margin zero, which sounds like you tried that and doing that would cause a margin page break, as mentioned above. That being said, it seems in how this is setup, there is not a way to remove the blank space you are seeing.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but do let me know if you have any questions for me. Thanks for reaching out and have a great rest of your day!
