Compare specific sections from two separate documents
In some cases, we have the exact paragraph in both the 10-Q and 10-K, but the sections are in different order, so the blackline won't work since I can't select the specific sections to compare. Is there a workaround for this?

Currently, 'cross document blackline' is in beta, however it is not specific to single sections. To better assist you, can you give us more detail on what you are trying to accomplish? Do you have those paragraphs linked? If the paragraphs are the same we often suggest linking them so you are able to ensure they both get updated as needed.

Hi Courtnie! Thanks for the response. For example, there are paragraphs that we include in Part 1, Item 1 in the 10-K, but the same paragraph is included in the MD&A for the quarter filings. It would be great if we could blackline those sections in the separate documents, because we wouldn't really want to link them, as not all of the information needs to be updated, and it's more tedious to go through and read each section to see what actually needs to be updated, rather than just being able to quickly review a blackline by section between the two separate documents. Hopefully that makes sense. Thank you!

Thank you for the additional information, I appreciate it and that definitely makes sense. I can understand that would indeed be tedious.
Unfortunately, there isn't currently a workaround for what you are trying to accomplish but we are always looking for ways to improve our platform and your experience. I have gone ahead and created a ticket for our product team to consider this as a feature for implementation. You will be updated on the status/progress of this ticket going forward.

Courtnie Carver - Whoa! I didn't know about linking entire paragraphs! That is going to be a great process improvement for us!
