history version to show changes in sheets
hi, is it possible to add history of any changes related to a sheet? currently we have history tracking changes in a cell and spreadsheet, can we add another tab between spreadsheet and cell so that we can see who make certain changes to a sheet or tab (name changes, reorders, locking / unlocking, outline labels, etc)? we brought this up in each year's Amplify and were told such tracking exists, but when we showed the instructor or Workiva staff in the meeting, they realized there is only history for spreadsheet and cells but not for a sheet. If this can be added, it will be very helpful, please refer to our other request: Is there a way to track or show the changes in locking, unlocking and outline labels in a sheet? thanks

Hi Jiang!Currently, Workiva provides history tracking for spreadsheets and individual cells, but there is no direct feature to track changes specifically at the sheet or tab level (e.g., name changes, reorders, locking/unlocking, outline labels). This limitation has been noted in various resources, and while the History panel allows tracking of revisions and authorship at the spreadsheet and cell levels, it does not extend to sheet-specific changes.For tracking changes like locking/unlocking and outline labels, the current workaround involves using the History panel to review broader spreadsheet changes. However, these specific actions are not explicitly tracked. I'm happy to submit a request to our product team for these enhancements and will keep you apprised of their progress.
