Upcoming changes related to EDGAR 22 release (Apr. 2022)
Hi all!
As posted here, the SEC plans to implement a change to EDGAR filing websites (EDGAR Filer Web and Online Forms) on or about April 4, 2022. The change requires EDGAR filers and filing agents using third-party software, such as Workiva, to add unique parameters when submitting their filings to either filing websites.
What does this mean for you?
The good news is that these changes will not directly affect you or your filing process within Workiva. Our engineers are working to ensure these changes, i.e. the parameters, are implemented and the Workiva Platform is updated accordingly with the planned rollout specified by the SEC.
Should there be any delays from the SEC on this roll-out, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as well.

Thanks Mike. That means we as filers using Workiva Platform will not change our normal filing process after the change?

Hi Mike, our filing has been pushed back (it's a long story) and now we won't file our 20-F or our press release until after the April 4 date. Do I need to do anything as I will be responsible for the filings. Thanks.

Well dang, its never great to push back a filing. I can at least be the bearer of good news here and assure you that there's nothing to worry about regarding the EDGAR 22 release planned for early April. Any changes found in that release will be incorporated into the Workiva Platform as well, and the above mentioned changes will not alter anything from your perspective of the filing experience in Workiva.

Yep, that totally makes sense and should still function normally. If you do hit a snag, you can always File with Workiva (more info here: https://support.workiva.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360073659071-How-to-Generate-a-File-with-Workiva-Code)
