Viewing a PDF in Wdesk
Hi Mike,
I see this topic came up about a year ago and am wondering when we might see this. I just uploaded our Internal Audit Policy and Procedure Manual to a folder under Files so the staff and 3rd parties can view it as needed. Unfortunately, they can't view it without downloading it.
If I upload the same file to a test procedure I can either view it in the Markup Viewer, or Open in Local File Sync. Is it possible those options could be applied to the Files experience too?

Ah yes, I recall this one and have found the request on our backend. This currently is a proposed suggestion with our product team, who do have an interest in adding this in. It has yet to be prioritized to be worked on, though. We will definitely continue to take requests here, and we've got your feedback connected there and will keep you apprised of that progress.
I would think too as the digital tie out experience rolls out as well, it could provide another avenue to view uploaded files at least as a workaround. I expect those enhancements to roll-out in Q1 2022.

Any update on this? Would be good if we could view pdf's directly in workiva and add comments in them in Workiva itself.

Hi Wannes! No new updates here I'm afraid. It remains proposed only with our developers and I don't see it on our current quarter's list. There's still hope and I'll be sure to add your request internally and keep you apprised. Thanks for chiming in!
