Data Sharing between Organisations
Hi,
Is it possible to share data between two separate organisations in Workiva.
The scenario here is to be able to share a subsidiaries ESG data directly with the Parent company if both are using Workiva for their ESG reporting?

Great question. Sadly, sharing data between two separate organizations in Workiva is currently limited.
Workiva allows data sharing across workspaces within the same organization. This includes features like sheet-to-sheet connections and sharing datasets with user groups. However, these connections are restricted to workspaces under the same organizational umbrella. Sharing data between entirely separate organizations (e.g., a subsidiary and a parent company using different Workiva instances) is not natively supported either.Workaround: If data needs to be shared between organizations, one potential method is exporting and importing Workiva files manually. This involves exporting the file from one organization and importing it into the other organization's workspace.Let me know if you have any follow-ups here or need anything else.0

Sorry for my delay. I brought this back up to our engineers to confirm. If you are looking to share this data across orgs then the only solution we know of would be a custom API integration, or possibly using Chains. More info on both of those options can be found here and here.
