    Hi there,

I wanted to update this thread with the capabilities available today.

Option 1: Copy, Delete, and Paste Back (for Document cells)
This is the recommended fix when a cell shows "Missing Source" in Link Properties:
    1. Select the affected cell
    2. Copy the contents (CTRL+C)
    3. Delete the cell contents
    4. Paste the contents back (CTRL+V)

This removes the orphaned link while preserving the original content.

Option 2: Wait for the 30-Day Shred Period (for deleted files)
If the dead link appears because the source file was deleted and trashed:
    • After the trash is emptied, files are held for an additional 30 days, then "shredded"
    • After shredding, the source link turns red and shows "Missing Source"
    • You can then use "Convert to Source" on one of the destination links to revive/relink it
    • Note: Orphaned destination links are not automatically removed — they remain and still need manual cleanup

    Hi Rafael! Great question!

Those orange trash icons are appearing because the file where the destination of the link was located was deleted, not the actual link destination itself.

Unfortunately, the only way that is currently available to delete the orange trash icons would be to restore the file from the trash and delete the link destination in the restored file.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask!
