Show value as one one-hundredth in iXBRL
답변함In a 10-K filing, we are have historically used the term "one one-hundredth of a share." Is there a way to enter this into a link within a document so that it writes it out that way (it would be 0.01 for iXBRL)? Or do I just need to have a hidden fact for this unless I change the wording?

Hi Tim!
Great question. I did a little testing on this and was able to achieve a partial result. Here's my setup.
First, I linked the value 0.01 to the document. Then, under Link Formatting > Advanced Options, I chose "Show number as words". That showed as "one hundredth" in the document. To add the preceding "one", I added a custom prefix of "one".
The ends up with the result of one one hundredth, like so:
The value to tag is still 0.01 but I've not been able to find a way to add a hyphen to this formatting, however. Hopefully this helps some. Let me know what questions you have or if you need anything else. Thanks again and happy tagging!
0That helps, thanks Mike!
0Sorry, this one is still giving me some issues. It works from an Edgar standpoint, but for some reason it kicks out an XBRL error. It properly shows up as one one hundredth in the document.
The value also comes up correctly in the Fact Details and SEC Viewer.
However, it always gives me this same error:
Any ideas how to fix that?
0Hi Tim!
Hmm... its a bit hard to fully determine this without knowledge of the concept data, etc. That being said, based on the the fact value, our XBRL team wonder if you are possibly using a "per share" concept and have the units as "share", meaning that the concept used might be expecting a per share unit but a share unit is picked? Is that maybe the case?
0Mike,
We do have units set to "share" and not per share. The concept is an extension, but the item type is set for shares and the period type is instant. There is a date applied, 12/31/2020, and the fact value is properly showing as 0.01. Here is what the fact details panel looks like:
0Thanks for sharing, Tim.
Nothing is jumping out to us as off based on what you've shared. One suggestion is to maybe try re-tagging it and re-generating, but you may have already done that. In that case, it would likely help to have an expert see the actual disclosure and tagging. You can always try our 24/7 support to have them take a look.0댓글을 남기려면 로그인하세요.
