Copy an active spreadsheet
답변함I would like to break apart my primary spreadsheet into two spreadsheet, it is currently linked to the K and Q, what would happen if we copied the spreadsheet in wdesk? Would the links move to the new spreadsheet?

Hello Michelle!
There are essentially two ways to achieve this. One is to make a new spreadsheet from scratch (probably for your 10-Q since there will be fewer links) and manually move the 10-Q links over to that new one. The second method and my recommendation would be to roll forward your Q4 to Q1 and remove the 10-K links as you go. Then, when it comes time to roll forward to Q4 2019, simply copy the Q4 2018 project and remove the 10-Q links. Does that make sense?

Thanks Mike, we are testing data collection in spreadsheets. However we had issues with permissions we did not want the people who were giving us data to be able to see our primary spreadsheet. Since I spent lots of time building out this data collection in our primary I didn't want to lose it. So instead of copying the spreadsheet I "saved as" it and deleted the irrelevant tabs. Thanks for your help. I think the save as button saved me loads of time!
