Character Limitation
Is there a way to limit the characters that can be entered in a cell? I couldn't find anything on it. We have a lot of departments entering their justification for new funding and it's creating a massive report, is there a way for them to limit how much they write so they are more to the point and concise?

Great question. While I do some digging to confirm, I do believe the cell limit is the same as Excel—32,767 characters. Off hand I don't know of a way to limit that for a cell, though this has been asked in the past. I'm happy to add your feedback there and keep you updated. Hi Mike Davis, Would be great to have functionality that spreadsheet owner can limit characters input to certain cells. This would be a helpful functionality for disclosures/ reporting. Thanks.

agreed this is something that is needed especially b/c we will sometimes link these cells to the document and need it to be limited for spacing reasons.
