Highlights in .pdf Documents Imported for Testing

We have been struggling with highlights that have been added to .pdf documents obscuring the data that they are meant to highlight when the document is uploaded to Wdesk and opened in the Markup Viewer. Sometimes we are able to open the document in .pdf editing software and remove the highlight, but that does not always work, and we do not like making changes to documents provided by others. Any suggestions on how we can address this?

    Knowing such issues from personal experience with highligting, done in Mac viewer and viewed Adobe Acrobat or vice versa. I suggest to avoid highlighting and use red frames to mark the relevant positions. Ideally use the annotations in the Markup Viewer.

    Hi Udo and thank you for your response. The problem is that we receive these documents from our clients with these annotations already in place.
