Workiva spreadsheet - symbols - adding more superscripts

Hi,

I recently found out that you could add superscripts to spreadsheets via the Symbol function.

I was wondering if the superscripts could be done more easily via a superscript function rather than having to go to symbols. If not, was wondering if it's possible to add more than 1, 2 and 3 and perhaps adding more numbers, up to 10. This would be useful for linking footnotes.

    Mandy, Is there a reason why you use the symbols vs just using the superscript font formatting option? That's what we use for referencing footnotes.

    Hi Jamie, Thanks for this. The superscript function in the spreadsheets doesn't seem to work. I did try the buttons to the left of it (e.g. underline, strikethrough etc, and those did work, but not the superscript or subscript).

    Mandy Tsui You might want to look into that because it works for me in spreadsheets. Are you double clicking on the cell to edit the text in the formula bar and then selecting the text to be superscript? Otherwise, I think it should work in spreadsheets.

    Hi, adding on to this question. The superscript formatting does not carry through in formulas which is why we would use the symbol version. It would be helpful if there was a way to add all numbers as superscripts that would be picked up by a formula.
