    Hi Dipti,

The primary difference between the FACT and DIM tables, other than the row limitation you noted, is the ability on a DIM table to specify a primary key.  Primary keys are useful for ensuring that there is uniqueness.  If that is not a concern, there is no technical reason why you can't load dimension type information to a fact table.

That said, I would be interested to hear more about how you intended to use such a large dim table.  We have seen instances where using dim tables in a manner that is not well suited for Wdata results in suboptimal performance.  Would you be able to share a little bit more of your use case so that we can better understand and offer you some additional options to consider?

    Thanks,

    Tony

    Hi Tony,

The DIM table will be used just to pull some columns data into our query as the outcome will be based on those specific results, even wanted to check what can be the possible ways to handle such large data sets for DIM Tables can we pull in data by adding some conditions in our chains?

Another factor which I wanted to check is is it possible to add 2 fact table- in one query to have the expected outcome.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Dipti
