  Thanks for the question. You cannot delete/edit an active review plan item while a test phase is "In Review."

  Here are the options depending on the situation:

   

  Option 1 — Tester Retracts the Phase (Best Practice)
  - The Tester retracts the test phase
  - Once retracted, the review plan becomes editable — the reviewer can be deleted or updated
  - The tester then re-submits to the updated set of reviewers
  - Note: All reviewers will need to re-review after resubmission

   

  Option 2 — Reviewer Returns the Review
  - If the reviewer who needs to be removed is still accessible, they can return the review to the tester
  - The tester can then delete the review plan item and re-submit with the correct reviewers

   

  Option 3 — Reassign via Report (Not Best Practice)
  - If neither the tester nor reviewer is available, a Data Admin can update the reviewer via a report (where the reviewer field has an editing rule)
  - This will not generate tasks for the new reviewer, so workflow must be tracked via report or the new Testing List View
  - This can cause review tasking to become orphaned and is not recommended as standard practice

  
  If Both Tester & Reviewer Are Unavailable:
  The tester can first be reassigned (via report or form) so that another user can retract the phase and make the necessary edits.
