File Path - (Document/Presentation/Spreadsheets)

My idea would be to show the current file path to your files (Documents, Presentations, Spreadsheets) when viewing these in your "Recent Files" or "Starred". Many times I find myself moving files that I might have already moved because I either forget I moved it or am unsure if I did. It would be nice if you could somehow see where the file is being stored within the Wdesk File Folder structure. Please let me know if this is something that maybe I'm just missing?

    Chuck,

    When viewing 'Recent Files' on the Home Page, if you click to add a 'checkmark' next to a file without opening it the File path should show up at the bottom of the page:

    Alternatively, if you use the 'File' View in Workiva you will be able to navigate by folder to see which files are where:

    The first option didn't work for me. We have a lot of files, and sometimes someone send me a link and it's really difficult to find it again without knowing which folder it was stored.

    Welcome to the community. I think I can shed some light on this for you.

    The file path, or breadcrumbs, was removed earlier this year to be worked on and will be restored. We plan on having this back in early Q1 2024, so very soon. Apologies for any confusion.     Breadcrumbs are now officially released to the Workiva platform. You should see them in your Home > Files environment. If you have an active session, a simple refresh should be all you need.
