Preservation of single-cell formatting variations in excel sync
We are having to spend a lot of time reapplying formatting after performing excel sync in next gen. This is because if a portion of the text within a single cell in a Wdesk spreadsheet is formatted as superscript (and other text in the same cell is not superscripted), and then we perform an Excel sync into the spreadsheet containing this cell, the entire cell becomes 'un-superscripted'. The issue only occurs when there are formatting variations within a single cell. If the entire cell is formatted one way, such as bold, italic, etc. that formatting is retained during an excel sync.
When we performed excel sync in classic workbooks, all single-cell formatting variations were preserved - so I'm hoping that feature can eventually be replicated in next gen spreadsheets

Hi David! Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately we are trying to pivot away from Excel Sync and leverage more Import. For an improved experience with formatting, I would highly encourage you to explore the Import options!
0I was not aware that Excel Sync was being retired. Is it recommended to 'transition' our process and complete an import every time we would normally perform a sync, if our table creation is occurring in a primary excel file?
0There are currently no plans to remove Excel Sync as an option but there will be no improvements further made on it. We are continuously trying to improve our Import feature to an extremely high fidelity from Excel to SS the best we can, but Microsoft Suite makes that difficult because they don't want competitors to easily use their products.
I would recommend talking to your CSM and trying out Import. I don't know the particular details of your use case or your documents, but I'm sure he/she can walk you through it and help you! There's a solid chance that Import might be more useful for you!0サインインしてコメントを残してください。
