  Thank you for your question. Comments can be saved on a Classic file if it is transitioned to Next Gen. Within the transition tool, there is a checkbox that can be marked to include comments. If this box is checked, the comments will carry over from the Classic to the Next Gen version of the file. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
