Full Section/Table Linking
Hello - I regularly run into an issue with linking that deters me from using the feature at all. I have several large tables throughout hundreds of documents that I would love to link, but doing so on a cell-to-cell basis isn't helpful, because the tables change overall size every year. The only way I can think to make it work would be to insert extra long tables into my destination documents, copy/paste the linked cells from the source, and then delete the extra rows from the destinations. Obviously, this negates the entire purpose of linking, because I would still have to go into each destination document and manually manipulate the table. To get around this issue, we've reverted to just creating primary tables in a workbook, and copying/pasting into our destination documents, without creating any links.
I need the entire table to be linked, and for the number of rows/columns in the destinations to increase or decrease as needed. I've attempted to create a source link by selecting the paragraph that the table is occupying (without clicking into the table), but WDesk doesn't seem to allow this. The other solution I can think of is to be able to link an entire section from one document to another, which would be helpful for many additional reasons.
So two requests - the ability to link a table in the same way that we can link a normal paragraph of text, and the ability to link an entire section from one document to another. Are either of these features being worked on?

Hi, Dustin! I have reached out to your CSM, who should be reaching out to you shortly about this specifically. I hope you have a good day!
0I'm also having this issue - is there a fix for it?
0I'm also interested in any updates on this, including the ability to link the whole presentation slide to another document.
0I'm also interested in any updates on this
0+1. Linking whole tables would be helpful for situations where we need to move cells around within tables and change formatting. Linking whole sections would also be very useful.
0Yes, this capability is very needed. Is there an update?
