Wdata - Best Practices
Con rispostaHello experts,
We recently got license to Wdata and officially are planning to integrate our source system data with Wdata. We made a decision to leverage public APIs. Majority of the ETL work is done on our on-premise systems and we are looking to push that information to WData tables. However, based on documentations and some community threads - we came to know that its a two step process:
a. Upload the file
b. Import the file into the table
We heavily use Apache NiFi for rest api integrations with external systems. Are there any best practices or sample code that we can start with.
Appreciate your assistance!!

Hi Raghav, the basic two steps you've outlined are corrected for adding new data to a Wdata Table. As far as example code, I recommend reviewing the developers documentation. Each endpoint includes sample code in both Python on Shell. Additionally, I recommend reviewing the Example Workflow sections of the documentation. These guides are a great getting started point for general knowledge of how to use the Wdata API. The Wdata API developer documentation is located at https://developers.workiva.com/workiva-wdata/reference/.
