Stacked bar total label in Next Gen

In Classic, I could create a stacked bar chart and apply a total label. In Next Gen, I find that this feature is missing or moved. Does anyone know if we can do a stacked bar chart total label?

    Wanted to let you know that a recent release to Workiva has now made total labels available in next gen Charts. Thanks so much for your patience and your feedback. It definitely helped in getting this feature released. Holler if you have any questions, and thanks again!

    Great question, as always. At this time we do not support total labels as we did in classic. There is however a workaround though. Here's the steps:

    1. Create an additional series in their chart, the values of this series should be a SUM formula totaling up the other data values (in this example the 13, 12, and 50)
    2. Turn on data labels for this new series, and set them to inside base
    3. Set the series color to ‘no color’
    4. Toggle the ‘show in legend’ option to off
    5. (you also may want to manually set the axis max value so that the chart doesn’t leave room for the spoof series)
