Transition cross-sheet Workbook links to cross-sheet Spreadsheet formulas
Con rispostaWhen transitioning a workbook to a spreadsheet, I am presented with an option to "Transition cross-sheet Workbook links to cross-sheet Spreadsheet formulas." What does this do? I am not 100% confident that I understand the description of this checkbox. How do I know whether I should check this box or not?

Great question, Chad!
To answer briefly, this option will convert any intra-workbook links to cross-sheet formulas in the transitioned Spreadsheet, instead of creating a link. So if in your Workbook you have a link going from section A to section B, choosing this option will create a cell reference from a cell in now sheet A to the corresponding cell in now sheet B. Here's an example:
Classic Workbook
Next generation Spreadsheet
Does that make sense? More info about cross-sheet formulas in Spreadsheets can be found here on our Help site: https://success.workiva.com/help/spreadsheets/editing-spreadsheets/using-formulas#section2
In addition, more info can be found under the "Learn More" button that transition window too. From there, you can visit this page which also goes over some of the steps: https://success.workiva.com/help/next-gen/transition-next/transition. We certainly recommend giving those pages a gander and contacting your CSM too regarding transitioning.
Hope that helps answer your question. Do let me know if I've missed the mark, or you need anything else. Happy transitioning, and have an excellent holiday weekend. Cheers!0Accedi per aggiungere un commento.
