Is there a way to run blacklines for templates in workbooks?
Con rispostaWhen using workbook templates, we are constantly adding to our templates to ensure they are up-to-date. I am wondering if there is any way to run a blackline on templates to show all changes that were made to the old version as proof for an auditor or for SOX. If there isn't a way to run a blackline for templates (I see it there for workbooks, but not for templates), is there a way to prove to let's say an auditor what was changed, without having to export it out and prove it out. Any help will be helpful! Thanks!

Hi!
Thanks for your question. To confirm, are you referring to next generation Spreadsheet templates, shown here on our Help site: https://success.workiva.com/help/spreadsheets/creating-spreadsheets/creating-spreadsheet-templates? Or are you looking to compare classic Workbooks?
For Spreadsheets, I did some initial checking and at this time you cannot run a blackline compare against existing templates in Wdesk, however, it is something our Product Team is considering. For Workbooks, you can of course blackline revisions (as you point out above) but you can't blackline two different documents in Wdesk.
Hope that helps some. Let me know if I've missed the mark, or you have any questions for me. Thanks again, and chat with you soon. Cheers!0Accedi per aggiungere un commento.
