    Hi Udo,

Yes - you can link a RCM from the Workiva report on to a Certification letter. You would need to update the letter or template itself to hyperlink (see image below).  Also, control owners will need view access to the RCM report itself. Your GRC CSM can definitely help you in that process!

    Hi Isabel,

But where do I find the URL? Just copying from the browser? Is it that simple? I was confused because I didn't see a button anywhere in the report menu. For other Workiva documents (Spreadsheets, Documents,...) there is such a selection in the drop-down-menu.

    Hi Udo,

Yes, it is that simple! Within the SOX database report you can copy/paste that URL on the top of the browser and that should suffice. Hyperlinking within the letter will just open that source link on another tab! If you are doing it with a Workiva Document, Pressentation, or Spreadsheet; it's the same thing OR you could use the "Copy URL" like you are showing above.

    Hope this helps!

We have all of our controls in a report but the report is ever-changing, is there any way to save a snapshot/report copy as of a specific date and link a certification letter to that report copy instead of the main report?  We are not seeing an option to save down an archive version of the live controls report.

Hello Valerie! My name is Haley and I am a CSM here at Workiva and I came across your thread! I suggest creating a spreadsheet. You can do this by clicking the "+ Create" button at the top left of your screen when you are in the Workiva platform. There, you will have the option to create a spreadsheet. Once created there will be icons all along the right hand side of your screen, and the very last icon is called connections. If you click on that you will have the option to add a connection from a report. You can essentially "connect" your live data from your report experience in the platform into a spreadsheet, we call this "connected sheets." Once the connection is made it will not update your data unless you refresh the connection so it will be a snapshot of your data at that moment in time and will not updated until you are ready to update that connection for the next certification. I recommend permissioning that spreadsheet so that your team has view access and you can paste the URL into your certification. To learn more about how to create a connection here is a help article for your convenience. Happy certifying!
