Removing paragraph line breaks from documents

We are creating a large document copying in data from a variety of other sources. The copied data loses formatting and all the lines of text are forcibly shortened before they wrap by paragraph breaks (see formatting view snippet). How do you make a bulk edit to remove the unnecessary paragraph breaks? I was going to try a search and replace of the breaks with a blank, but the system doesn't recognize ^p as a paragraph break, and I'm not sure how else to search for it.

Doing this manually by line is not a feasible option.

    Oh yes, I would love to know if there has been a resolution to this question.  I have many sources coming into workiva and it would be awesome to delete all the unnecessary paragraph breaks.

    In the Workiva platform, removing unnecessary paragraph breaks can be done using the platform's text editing and formatting tools. Here's how you can handle this:
     
    1. Open the Document in Workiva:
      - Navigate to the document where the text with unnecessary paragraph breaks is located.
     
    2. Use the Find and Replace Tool:
      - Open the Find and Replace tool in Workiva by pressing Ctrl + F (or Cmd + F on Mac).
      - Click on the "Replace" tab to enable the replace functionality.
     
    3. Search for Paragraph Breaks:
      - In Workiva, paragraph breaks are typically represented by a line break or a combination of line breaks and spaces.
      - Try searching for \n (newline character) or \r\n (carriage return + newline) in the "Find" field.
     
    4. Replace with a Space or Blank:
      - In the "Replace" field, enter a space or leave it blank if you want to remove the breaks entirely.
      - Click "Replace All" to apply the changes across the document.
     
    5. Adjust Formatting:
      - After removing the paragraph breaks, you may need to adjust the formatting to ensure the text flows correctly.
     
    If you find the Find and Replace tool in Workiva does not recognize \n or \r\n, you may need to manually remove the breaks or use a script if you have access to Workiva's API or automation tools.
