Selecting Reset in the new Certification
If a signee needs to send back a certification to the first signee or creator, do they select Modify then reset and provide a response?

Hi everyone, wanted to share a quick update on how sending back a certification works in the system today:
Sending a Certification Back to a Prior Signer: There is no explicit "Return" button for signers, but the system manages this automatically using a consensus model:
-
If a signer disagrees or wants changes: Simply modify a previous signer's response (e.g., change an answer). You will be prompted to provide an explanation, and the letter will automatically route back to all prior signers for re-review and re-signature.
-
If an approver needs to return the letter: Select Return in the toolbar. You can choose to Return to signers (sends back to the first signer step) or Return to approvers (sends back to the first approver step). You can also add an optional note to explain the decision.
Restarting a Certification Action (Process Owners) Process Owners can also restart actions directly:
-
Click the three-dot menu next to the certification action and select Restart.
-
Enter an explanation for the restart, and assignees will be notified that their tasks have been restarted. (Note: Actions in a closed process cannot be restarted.)
Hey Karen Dumas
My apologies for the delayed response!
If a signer needs to send back a Certification to the first signee or creator, they will need to have the Approver select the "Return" option within their Task.
I've included a screenshot below.

This will send the letter back to the first signee and they will need to provide an explanation for their answers.
Another way that a certification will get sent back to the first signee is if the second signee selects a different answer within the letter than the first signee does.
Hope that this helps! If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out here or directly to our support team!
Thanks
