Create and Update Select List
Con rispostaWhere do you find these lists after you create them? How do they get used in a query? All the chain documentation seems to assume that these pieces of information are known before hand.

Hi Ryan,
I am not 100% sure exactly which Connector you are referring to here but I'll assume it is the Workiva one. If you take for example the Update Select List Command. It says:
Update select list
To update the properties or items for a list of values for a multi-select query parameter, use an Update select list command
The key in this description is that you are updating a query, specifically a Wdata query. The select list is part of Wdata and more information is available here.
Our documentation is indeed modular and that is by design. This allows us to add additional functionality and not have existing documentation be out of date when new functionality is added, instead it is covered by a new article. I know it can sometimes be tough to connect the dots and we're actively studying how to improve our documentation. We'd love to hear your feedback.
You can also take advantage of the training that we have available in the Learning Hub. There is a lot of great information there. You can also refer to our new Start Here series that helps put all of the pieces together.
I hope this helps.
Tony
Thanks,
This is indeed the workiva connector I am referring. What I am still unclear of is when I create a select list in a chain, how do I use that in a wdata query?
