Are you able to add a comment to a chart within a presentation? If not, will that functionality be added at any point?

    You can NOW comment on Charts in Presentations!

    Thanks for reaching out. I chatted with our Comments team for sure and you can only add a comment on a Chart in a Document, but not a Presentation. To do so, you'd need to select the whole chart as well, not a piece of the chart. Our Product Teams is working to make available but I don't have an ETA on its arrival. As a workaround in Presentations, you could add a text box to the slide next to chart and add the on the text box.
