Certification question/concern - marking process/task complete or skipping task
We have certifications going in the new process and have run into an issue. For one process, all people that will sign have completed it, but the process is not marked complete as one person did not sign. We do not want to delete the action because we need record that the task was sent and not signed by the original signer. We would like to have some way to close out this process. Our thoughts included:
- Mark the entire process as complete so we can filter it out of the Processes main page which is filtered to only show in progress processes
- Have some way to mark the action as complete or some other status that would automatically close the entire process. Would be even better if there was somewhere to include a note of why we centrally/manually marked the action as complete.

Hi Candice,
I'm going through some older Community posts and came across this thread.
To close out the process without deleting the action or losing audit history, you can use the Mark as Signed or Skip features depending on how many signers are assigned to the action:
-
For Single Signers: Use Mark as Signed. Navigate to the certification action's details in the Process tab, click Mark as signed from the dropdown next to the signer's name, and enter a reason for your audit record. This will automatically approve the letter and complete the action.
-
For Multiple Signers: Use Skip Signer. In the action details, select Skip in the dropdown next to the unavailable signer's name, add your reason, and click Skip user. This moves the process forward while retaining the notes for audit purposes. (Note: At least one signer must remain active; if you need to bypass all original signers, add a new signer before skipping the original ones.)
Both options allow you to include required notes for tracking while successfully moving the process to complete!
