[HELP NEEDED]: Automatically applying rounding guidance within Factbook

Hello!

My team has predefined rounding rules for our ESG disclosures, and I'm curious if there's a way to add or pre-populate our rounding rules within our Factbook? 

Right now, our Factbook automatically pulls through the submitted/approved data entry, and we need to manually adjust the formatting of the number (e.g., change number of decimals or significant figures) prior to linking to our ESG files. Is there a way to add our rounding rules within our Workiva Factbook to automatically reflect submissions in accordance with our rounding rules to avoid manual manipulation of data? Our team considered using rounding formulas to support this, but that's still a tedious, manual process to set up. Any recommendations or solutions available?

    Hi there Lauren Clark,

    It is possible to use Round with the Index/Match. However, I'd recommend reaching out to your CSM (then PSM) to discuss your options and make sure it's a valid option that won't negatively impact other areas of your build!

    An alternative approach is to use Value Formatting > Decimals.

    Thanks, Isabel Messore ! I infer this to mean there isn't a way to "upload" our rules into Workiva on the backend (to avoid setting up Index/Match manually)? Could our CSM help set up Index/Match if needed?
