Feature Request – Global Theme Management (Bulk Update of Colors and Fonts)
Hello Workiva Team,
I would like to suggest an enhancement related to document and presentation formatting within Workiva.
Currently, there is limited ability to perform bulk updates of colors, fonts, and styles across an entire document or presentation. This makes it difficult to enforce branding standards or apply formatting changes efficiently.
Suggested Feature:
Introduce a global theme or style management system that allows users to:
-
Define brand color palettes
-
Define default fonts and typography rules
-
Apply styles (headings, body text, tables, charts)
-
Perform bulk updates across the entire document or presentation
-
Update all instances of a color or font automatically
Use Case:
Organizations frequently need to update branding (e.g., rebranding, regulatory formatting changes, or client-specific templates). Currently, these updates require manual changes, which are time-consuming and prone to inconsistency.
Business Impact:
-
Significant time savings for large documents and decks
-
Stronger brand consistency across outputs
-
Reduced manual errors
-
Improved scalability for enterprise use
Additional Notes:
Ideally, this functionality could work similarly to themes in Microsoft PowerPoint or styles in Microsoft Word, with centralized control and the ability to propagate changes instantly across all content.
Thank you for considering this enhancement.
