Looking for information on connecting MS SQL Server to Wdata using Wdata Chains. Thanks.

    Hello Bharath,

    Connecting SQL to Wdata is no different than any other data source to Wdesk via Chains.  The purpose of Chains in any workflow is to connect source to target.  In this scenario your source system is SQL instead of an already produced file.  The result of your SQL Query is an output that you can use to feed into a spreadsheet or Wdata table.  The only additional step you are bringing into Chains is the idea of creating your dataset versus having it provided to you.

    Hi Amitha Kumar,

    Yes, you can do the reverse of what is described above to extract data from Wdata and load it into Microsoft SQL Server. The related commands Execute SQL, Execute Update, Insert Records, and Upsert Records call all help with this task.
