Content Placeholders in Smart Links - Formatting
I have embedded content placeholders in Smart Links that have been shared across two workspaces. The sharing was fine, however, the content placeholders have been bolded in the destination workspace and not at the source. I was wondering how to fix the formatting for the destination content placeholders. It says they must take the formatting of the source.

Hi Lily Croddick,
To resolve the issue where content placeholders in Smart Links are bolded in the destination workspace but not in the source, you can follow these steps:1. Enable Formatting Flow-Through: Ensure that the "Use link formatting from source" option is enabled in the value formatting panel for the destination link. This setting ensures that the formatting from the source link flows through to the destination.2. Clear Destination Formatting: If the destination link has any explicitly applied formatting, it will override the source formatting. Use the "Clear Text Formatting" option in the edit toolbar to remove any destination-specific formatting. After clearing, reapply the source formatting.3. Recreate the Link: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you can delete the destination link and recreate it. This ensures that the formatting from the source is correctly applied to the destination.4. Check for Style Guide Conflicts: If style guides are applied to the destination document, they might conflict with the source formatting. Export and import the style guide from the source document to the destination to ensure consistency.5. Publish the Source Link: Ensure that the source link is published after making any changes. Destination links will only receive updates, including formatting changes, when the source link is published. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please let me know, and we can explore further troubleshooting option!0Iniciar sesión para dejar un comentario.
