Is it possible to use an 'if' statement to pull back the data from the children tabs if the spreadsheets are not set up exactly the same?  

I am able to successfully use the CHILDREFS functionality to pull back data from child tabs in spreadsheets when the values in the spreadsheet are in the same location.  In the example below....the resulting $300,000 is correct based on the formula used as displayed in cell C1.

However, while my children tabs all have the same columns, they may varying number of rows.  I was attempting to combine an 'if' statement with 'childrefs' to pull the data, but have not been successful (see cell C8 in snippet below).  I see in the support notes for the 'if' function that it can be used with CHILDREFS, but I don't see any example formulas.
