Destination link not in the correct format

I have a cell that contains a link in one document, and I am trying to link that entire cell to a cell in another document.  However, in the destination link a "$" keeps appearing before the number that is linked in the source cell.  For example, in the source cell there is "2022 Reported" and the "2022" is a destination link itself, but when that entire cell is linked to the second document it comes in as "$2,022 Reported".  Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!
