I have noticed that we cannot resize text block when the text is a destination from other file. Some parts of the text relates to other policies and we don't need them to be added into certain text block, however it seems if the text is linked we cannot resize it. Is there any solution on this apart from breaking the link?

    This is a known limitation in the Workiva platform. When text is a destination link from another file, the "Resize Fact" (Resize Tag) option is not available — this is consistent with the broader behavior that certain XBRL actions are restricted on destination-linked content.
     
    Potential workarounds to explore (short of breaking the link):
    • Adjust the content at the source: Trim or restructure the text in the source file so that only the relevant text is included in the linked range, which would automatically scope the text block correctly
    • Use a separate range link: Link only the specific portion of text needed (narrower range), rather than the full paragraph/note
     
    In the meantime, I'm happy to create a feature request here.
