Change an existing paragraph into a section
Hello,
I am trying to change an existing paragraph to a section without adding one and then cut it and paste it to the newly added section. Is there a way to accomplish that? Reason I am asking so because if I add a section, regardless before or after, and cut and paste the paragraph to that section, it is recorded on my blacklines which cause confusion to reviewers because they think there are changes made but actually not, it is simply that I move the paragraph. Hope that makes sense.
Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community, Tuan!
I have done a little testing to see what happens. If you cut and paste like you mentioned, the blackline shows the entire paragraph in blue, as if all new. Plus the section is new. If you use the Split to New Section the blackline shows as if all the text after it was new.
I cannot seem to move a paragraph around with out a blackline capturing the whole change as a new addition, which is technically true, though I can see why you'd want to omit that. I can keep digging with our experts here, but wanted to share the results of my first pass for you.
Lemme know if I've missed the mark here, or you have any questions. Thanks again and happy Friday!
0Hi Tuan Diep,
I've also tragically ran into this problem before too. So the best solution I came up with was to turn off track changes, perform the cut and paste to the new section, then turn on the track changes again. It is not perfect but I haven't found a better solution. Good luck ~ happy reporting!
