Report filtering in SOX workspace not dynamic

    Hi Jeff!

I spoke with one of our experts, and they had the following question/follow-ups.

This does depend on if you are selecting specific records in the filter. For example, if I filtered for a specific year, any data associated to that year will work without touching the filter, but if you manually selected all the data for that year and were not filtered on the year, then they would need to update the filter. Do either of these steps match up with what you are seeing? Let us know and we'll definitely be happy to get to the bottom of this pesky item.

Thanks very much for the reply. I'll give you an example with one of our SOX reports (Test Matrix). If I select the year ("Audit Program") as SOX 2021, and then wish to filter the Control column by the "DD.IT" prefix, I type in "DD.IT" in the search field, I have one option ("Select Visible"). However, if I leave that filter in place, and I later add an additional control with the "DD.IT" prefix, it is left out of the filter until I re-do the filter and re-select Visible. I'd like that filter to be dynamic (or have the choice to be dynamic) and pick up any new matches each time I access that report with the filter enabled. Does that make sense?

Yes, that does make sense. The short answer here is we cannot filter on prefixes. For this example, anything associated to the "SOX 2021" audit program will show up and the filter is dynamic, but we cannot filter on the prefix of a text field and have it dynamic. Definitely happy to pass along that request with the team, however.
