Using a Linked value in a formula?

I have a really simplistic question -- how do I use a linked value from another workbook in a formula?  

I suppose I could create an intermediary cell in my source or destination workbook, but I'd like to avoid that.

    Hi Bill!

    Unfortunately, Workiva doesn't support cross-workbook formulas. The intermediary cell is needed to use a linked value in a formula on a different workbook. I will create a ticket and add you to it so you will be updated on the progress of this feature.
