Email notifications for author of the original comment on thread
AnsweredI have a quick question around Wdesk comments and how the email notifications work with regard to the user making the original comment.
Besides tagging myself (similar to CC'ing myself on an email I am sending so I get a copy back) is there any way for me to receive email notifications for comments I originate in a document? Basically, I do not mind having to tag myself so I get an email (I use it as a follow-up tickler) but if there is something more clean already in Wdesk for me to do this I would prefer to use that.

Hi Joseph!
I'm happy to answer this for ya.
As far as email notifications from comments, there was a recent feature enhancement that enabled more notifications when commenting. This change now sets it so that if you are part of a comment thread, whether as the author or contributor, you will receive email notifications on new updates to that thread. As mentioned on this post, our Product Team is working on providing option to enable/disable this setting.
The email notifications on comments are subject to the bundled email settings on your account as well, which are batched in timed increments. The default is a minimum of 10 minutes and maximum of 30 but they can be adjusted, if you're an admin.
Hopefully that helps, but do let me know what questions you have. Thanks for your contributions and have a great rest of your day!
