New comments feature

It appears there is a new feature where replies to comments will notify the person who commented, does anyone know how to modify this (e.g. turn it off). There are some comments where we type "Updated" and then click resolve just so that we know the change was made but we really don't want to notify the CFO for instance that a formatting change was made. Some of our comments are more of an audit trail and we don't want to inconvenience certain reviewers with an overload of emails.
