Header and footer deletions
How do I remove the header and footer in the document? They come up automatically.

Hi Naresh!
To remove a header/footer in Documents, you only need to remove the content found there, i.e. delete it out. If you need to as well, you can resize the margin if they are larger to allow the header/footer being used.
Does this make sense or have I missed the mark? Let me know what questions you have in the meantime. Chat soon!
0I tried to remove the header but still it stays there.
0Ah, ok.
To remove that "header", so to speak, you'd need to adjust the margin. Currently there's nothing in the header after you delete the content out, but the space above the margin still remains. If you want that blue line to be flush with the top of the page, you'd want to adjust your margins to essentially be 0.
If you want to adjust this for the whole file, go to File > Properties > Document Properties. Then go to Page Formats and change the Page Margins to be have 0 value for Top.
This would remove any chunk of header at the top. Is this what you are looking to achieve?
0Hi Mike,
I still see the header "TERM LAPSE:HEADER" even after adjusting. I am not able to remove it completely. Is this a expected functionality? Cant i remove the headers and footers completely?
0Ah, ok. Are you referring to the grey box that says TERM LAPSE:HEADER?
If so, that box is the indicator of the section name plus the header. You can't delete that box itself, though by wiping out the text found in the header or footer, and reducing their size, there isn't anything in them. Does that make sense, or have I missed the mark on your question?
Let me know either way and I'll be happy to keep digging. Thanks, and chat soon!
0Just to add a little more in case other's still struggle after trying the above. We tried the above steps for the Document properties and Header properties. Were still getting a margin. Finally figured out that it was our 1 inch margin in the Section properties that was causing it.
