I have spreadsheet data in workiva. My source is external system from where I want to pull the data into Wdesk. How do I integrate this? Can this be done through Wdata by running sql queries against the external system and link to the spreadsheet?

Hi Naresh, Sheets can be connected to Wdata Queries. Queries can be built to report on data in Wdata Tables. There are several ways to populate the Wdata Tables with data. Data can be manually imported, imported via the Wdata API, or imported with Chains to the Wdata Table. Chains are the only option out of the three that, after correctly configured, would be able to run SQL queries on an external database. Below are links to documentation for these three options:

After the data is in the Wdata Table using any of the three methods above, Queries can be built and used to report on the data. More information on Queries is documented at https://support.workiva.com/hc/en-us/sections/360007128072-Queries.
